This collage and charm casting workshop invites young people to explore the tools, ideas and imaginations we already carry to help build queer futures, guided by artist Rachel Sale.
In this workshop, 16–25 year olds are invited to spend an afternoon making together, experimenting with collage and pewter charm casting to create objects that reflect ideas, identities and
collective visions.
As part of her residency at QUEERCIRCLE, Rachel has been working with young people across our networks to develop creative practices that centre collaboration, storytelling, and experimentation."
The session is designed as a space for creative exploration, learning, and connection, where participants can try new techniques, share inspiration and engage with queer peers in a supportive environment.
Rachel Sale (she/her) is a London-based artist who focuses on collective making. Since 2019, she has been leading F.A.T. Studio CIC, a non-profit arts organisation that runs collaborative art projects from a shopfront on Old Kent Road, southeast London.
In 2024, she was Illustrator-in-residence at the V&A Museum, where she explored illustration as a method for building self-compassion, community, and visions of the future. Since then, she’s been working with her neighbours on projects that explore collective representation and new structures for living/working together.
