✨ We are incredibly happy to partner up with LatimLove for a special night of community and cinema! ✨
➡️LatimLove is an annual print magazine from and about Latin America that blurs the boundaries between academic journal and design publication, weaving together practices of research, curatorship, and creative production. In addition to being a publication, LatimLove is a cross-border platform, an organizer of events, and a space for reflection on identity, migration, and coexistence.
For us and for LatimLove, Portunhol is the language of the future, the in-between, the cross-borders, the non-colonial way of communication, and we are excited to invite you to join us to watch PORTUÑOL, 2019, by Thais Fernandes.
🎥This documentary takes a journey through the border culture of Brazil and its hispanohablantes neighbours. Portuñol, this language born from the intersection of cultures, serves as a pretext to explore the genesis of Latin America. A road movie that, along the way, does not seek an answer, but rather aims to break all possible certainties about what it means to exist on the edges of cultural definitions.
