In these times of food crisis, vitamin deficiency and rising supermarket prices, we need to gather together and watch a vegetable sing about their life story or a fruit do a handstand. This premier night, hosted by King of More as Mr Carrot, promises to jump-start your digestive system with cabaret, music, drag and comedy acts — all of whom are food items themselves, or at least historically edible.
Not exactly sure what happened in the cosmos, but it seems the scene has birthed a bounty of plump and turgid alternative acts, so let’s toss them all together into one big, tasty evening Salad Bowl at everyone’s favourite vegan joint, Love Shack in East London.
The night will include an array of edible acts of all sizes, forms and rainbow colours. The full cast will be announced closer to the date, but it promises to leave no one hungry. Current rumours in the green market suggest appearances from carrot, corn, milk, complimentary drink, prawn, foraged tree and many more delectable performance morsels, while keeping the actual experience still plant based.
After the mixed-bill cabaret, grate yourselves into a proper mid-week casserole of dancing with a nutritious DJ.
