We are excited to be hosting the ecclectic alternative folk band Lydia Laughing; through interweaving traditions and musical cultures, they create a sound that is truly fresh and surprising, whilst still feelling connected to its varigated roots.
We are also super stoked to be hosting WD440 whose practice focuses on exploring the relationship between community, experimental music, and contemporary life through live flute improvisation and electronic manipulation.

WD440 is an innovative duo formed by Lydia Walquist and Eric Davis to explore the relationship of community, experimental music, and intrinsic lived experiences of the twenty-first century through live improvisation of flute and electronic manipulation. This duo of creatives enjoy sharing their passion and curiosity for their art with the next generation through workshops and interactive performances. Lydia credits part of her artistic inspiration to her students and their whimsical curiosity and excitement for the art of music. Eric is a composer and multi-instrumentalist with a specialism in electronic music and passion for community music-making. Both musicians are guided by a desire to share music-making in open, varied, and interactive ways, through genre-bending compositions, improvisations, workshops, and concerts.

Their sound is characterised by the fusion of their musical backgrounds, ranging from classical to dream pop and experimental rock, and is underpinned by the traditional music of their respective countries. The result is a tapestry of sound that feels both new and old.
