Moving Towards Healing Each Other with Mijke van der Drift
The workshop is a theatrical and philosophical exploration of energy, movement, and friction. Building on Eleni Stecopoulos 'Dreaming in the Fault Zone: a poetics of healing' we will investigate, explore, and play around the themes of skill and expectations of doing well, being well, and connecting well. In the workshop we will question how collective work and personal wellbeing go together and what the push and pull between the two is. Plus cats.
Mijke van der Drift works on transfeminism, anti-imperial ethics and philosophies of movement. Mijke’s work on ethics has appeared in various formats in journals, sound pieces, public talks and performances. Together with Nat Raha, Mijke co-authored Trans Femme Futures (Pluto Press, 2024). Mijke is Tutor (Research) and Co-Chair of the Union at the Royal College of Art, London.
