✨ We are excited to be bringing you our first in a series of online CPD events for therapists and counsellors. Alongside developing your own practice and knowledge, attending these events directly supports trans young people by contributing towards development of a low cost therapy service, Evergreen.✨
Rhi is a Sex and Relationship Therapist based in South Wales. They work in person with clients and online with supervisees.
Rhi also happens to be nonbinary and trans with bilingual pronouns of they/nhw.
Rhi worked in a new gender identity service for 4 years between 2021 and 2025 providing Psychosexual Therapy to trans and nonbinary people who were medically transitioning. Being the first ever Psychosexual Therapist to work in an NHS gender identity service, this role gave them a unique set of skills to work with this client group. Rhi has provided training to organisations including BAGIS, BASHH, Spectra and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital which has helped attendees improve their skills in working with sexual wellbeing with TNB patients/clients.
In private practice, Rhi also provides hop-on hop-off supervision groups for therapists and counsellors specifically in this area.
In this 2 hour workshop you will learn how to feel more competent and confident to help your trans, nonbinary and gender expansive (TNBGE) clients discuss and explore their sexual identity.
After receiving information on TNBGE identities and the biopsychosocial challenges they may experience (including minority stress, family and work safety, gatekeeping and transitioning), you will go into breakout rooms to discuss with colleagues how you feel about working with the topic of sexual identity with this client group. When we return, we will discuss what came from these discussions, then Rhi will provide some practical ideas and further opportunities to reflect. After opportunities for questions, the training will end with a group discussion of a case study .
