VENUE: multistory, peckham levels
This is an event for flinta people who make or are curious about experimental, noise, heavy electronics, and industrial music. We exist to build a community that's beginner and budget friendly, non-hierarchical, and genuinely welcoming, for people who love difficult sound.
7–8pm — Mixer: come early, meet people, have a cuppa. Bring gear if you want to talk it through with others, or just come for a chat. This is where we get to know each other. Sign-up for the showcase, if you want.
8–9pm — Workshop with gerst and SIOBHAN.:
We are delighted to have uber talented gerst - multidisciplinary sound artist working with live noise and modular synthesis and SIOBHAN. industrial techno live act, producer and DJ. Both talk through how they got into heavy electronics, how their kit works, and what they do with it. It will be an honest demo, open questions, open answers. Whether you're just starting out or already deep in it, come ask the stuff you've always wanted to ask.
9.15–1030pm — Showcase: five slots available — sign up during the mixer. bring a track and get feedback (pun intended), run part of a live set with sound and tech support on hand, or do something else entirely. Feedback is there if you want it, no pressure if you don't.
11pm - bed time
FLINTA only. Fully accessible space. ALL levels welcome. Capped to ensure meaningfulness.
