Dirty Girls: a Creative Writing Workshop for Grown-Up Grungers
Dirty Girls: a Creative Writing Workshop for Grown-Up Grungers hosted by writer, mentor and bookshop owner Aimee Ballinger.
Join Aimee for two hours of reading and writing back to your grungey teenage self. We will explore themes of class, urban neglect, sex, growth & reflection, friendship and finding your greasy sticky little place in this sick sad world.
Featuring writers you wished you read when you were a teenager (or at least I did? Maybe you were like, a cool teenager?) such as Michelle Tea, Eileen Myles, Hannah Regel, Natasha Stagg and others… maybe we'll even make time to watch some Daria?
No previous writing experience necessary - all you need is a pen and paper or a laptop.
Refreshments available. The shop is at street level but has no accessible bathroom.
