The Two Brewers, Clapham
Queer Theatre presents, Luvvie: Gods and Monsters Party - for queer people in the performing arts to party together, connect, perform, celebrate and dance until late. Whether you’re the lead in a West End show, a grassroots theatre-maker, production assistant in film and TV or a bona fide national treasure like our patron Sir Stephen Fry. Luvvie is a safe space for us all to be together in the real world.
We’re taking over the iconic, Two Brewers for a herculean Friday night of divine chaos: West End, drag, comedy and cabaret acts (many yet to be announced), god-like VIP industry guests, an auction of titanic treasures, and a DJ until 4am.
All profits go towards fundraising for Queer Theatre and the work we do nurturing queer talent and telling LGBTQIA+ stories in London.
Optional Dress Code: Gods & Monsters
Costumes inspired by folklore, Greek mythology, queer popular culture, or however you wish to express yourself. Dressing up is strongly encouraged, but not required. Prizes will be given for the best dressed.

Why is it called Luvvie?
A luvvie is theatre slang for an actor or theatre person, often said with affection: flamboyant, passionate, slightly dramatic, and completely devoted to the craft.
As our patron Sir Stephen Fry puts it:
“A luvvie is someone who loves the theatre so much it becomes their natural habitat.”
Luvvie is also something very specific we’re building at Queer Theatre: a place where LGBTQIA+ performing arts artists (and our allies) can come together and meet, flirt, dance, and connect informally, outside auditions, rehearsal rooms, and industry pressure. Come as you are, and leave with new mates, new collaborators, and new stories.
Industry Prizes Include
- A year's membership to Spotlight.
- Signed books from our patron, Sir Stephen Fry
- A month of free Acting Classes for LGBTQIA+ People
- Three months worth of tickets to our Queer Play Reading Club
