After selling-out in February and April, we're back at The Clapham North for another pub social!
We loved this venue for its great artwork, warm lighting, and comfortable seating, and crucially, it's quiet enough to actually have a proper conversation. The cosy vibe worked perfectly for us, so we're returning for another pub social.
At LSW, we're friendly folks who value genuine connections over loud, overstimulating environments. Think of us as the more houseplants than jagerbombs kinda crowd. We believe great queer events shouldn't require a trek over to East London, so we've got south of the river covered with wholesome events like pub nights, brunch socials, picnics, crafty socials, singles mixers, and more.
So whether you're seeking new mates or new potential dates, LSW has your back. Since we began in 2022, we've been the catalyst for best friends, holiday groups, dates, hook-ups, long-term partnerships, sports teams, crafty groups, band-mates and more!
What to expect:
- Genuinely welcoming – a safe space designed for meeting mates or dates, naturally. We are a group of warm, welcoming people looking forward to meeting you in a relaxed corner of a lovely local pub. Conversation starters are available on tables, you can play cards dobble or uno, plus pens and paper will be available so you can doodle whilst you chat.
- Inclusive, FLINTA+ focused – designed specifically for lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans+ community. Allies outside of this are absolutely welcome providing inclusivity and safety remains a priority.
- Not your usual crowd - we run intentionally wholesome events, so you'll find genuinely good eggs with good energy. Come as you are, alone or with a friend or partner, and leave with new connections. All ages welcome (18+), though our crowd tends to be more 30s+. Oh, and well-behaved dogs are very welcome, too!
- Great for newbies or those solo - as a community and welcoming event, there are plenty of new faces and people coming solo. We always watch out for people alone or new to events to make sure you're made to feel welcome. You can also connect with eachother on our whatsapp before the event! Community, connection and conversations prioritised, always.
- Accessible – The Clapham North have disabled access and a disabled toilet. It's just across the road from Clapham North tube (Northern Line), round the corner from Clapham Highstreet overground, plus easily accessible via many bus routes. This pub serves food and drinks - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, so no pressure to drink or not - in fact many of us are sober. There are seats, or you can stand - whatever you prefer. There are two exit doors.
- Community first – a social without the huge price tag. Tickets are just £5 with a PWYC community option.
