NEW HERETICS Exhibit
an exhibit at house of annetta about fictions that make themselves real
New Heretics is a curated exhibition and immersive shrine environment inspired by Walter Benjamin’s Angelus Novus. It examines how dominant narratives of acceleration and innovation (particularly those tied to data extraction, climate crisis, migration, and urban redevelopment) shape the realities we inhabit. Situated in Brick Lane, in proximity to the Truman Brewery, and its surrounding data infrastructure, the exhibition transforms the House of Annetta into a site where alternative technological, ecological, and social imaginaries can be proposed.
