ROMANCERO BOOKS TURNS 6!
Join us for a special Books Pop-Up Market on Saturday 20 June, celebrating the 6th anniversary of Romancero Books. This event marks an important milestone for a project that has grown from an independent bookshop into a vibrant cultural platform dedicated to promoting Spanish-language literature in the UK. Throughout the day, the space will host a carefully curated selection of books, featuring independent publishers, emerging voices, and established authors, creating an opportunity to discover new titles and engage with a diverse literary community.
The pop-up market is conceived not only as a place for book circulation, but also as a meeting point for readers, writers, and cultural practitioners. We will be celebrating the networks and collaborations that have shaped Romancero Books over the past six years.
At 4pm, the celebration will continue with a live concert by Evripidis and His Tragedies. The project, led by Greek-born artist Evripidis Sabatis, is known for its distinctive blend of indie pop, cabaret, and emotionally driven songwriting. Based in Barcelona, Evripidis has developed a unique musical voice characterized by lyrical intimacy, melodic sensitivity, and a subtle sense of humor. His performances combine vulnerability and theatricality, creating an engaging and memorable live experience that perfectly complements the spirit of the event.
This anniversary celebration brings together literature and music in a shared cultural space, offering an opportunity to reflect on the journey of Romancero Books while looking forward to its future as a platform for artistic expression and community building.
We see you there!
