Brave the Shave – The Dragonfly Lounge 💚
On 22nd May 2026 Karen will be doing Brave the Shave at The Dragonfly Lounge in support of Macmillan Cancer .
Karen has recently been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and will be starting chemotherapy soon, which will likely cause hair loss. Instead of waiting for it to happen, she has decided to take control and shave her head while raising money for a charity that supports so many people going through cancer.
The Dragonfly Lounge Colchester, has kindly offered to co host the event on Cabaret night, there will be raffle prizes to boost the moneys raised (prizes will be announced 1 week before).
Once Karen has braved the shave, we will continue the event through the night with ‘Drag DJ’ see below details:
FRIDAY 22nd MAY
***DRAGONFLY LOUNGE***
-Open 6pm-2am -Cabret from 8pm -2x Fundraising interval (second one will be brave shave)-DRAG DJ from 11pm through the night
