The Divine Fringe Presents…
Grace Lightning: Final Queen
A Drag Circus Horror Comedy.
Final Queen is a genre-bending solo drag show that mashes Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Texas Chainsaw Massacre into a wild collision of circus horror comedy madness! Join Down Under diva Grace Lightning as she embarks on a road trip through the outback, dodging deadly snakes and spiders, bigoted cryptids, and a chainsaw-wielding bushranger on a murderous rampage. But are these monsters really what they seem... ? Expect haunted acrobatics, blood soaked hula hooping, and a whole lot of hair-raising hilarity.
“Creative, energetic, highly ridiculous” - My Melbourne Arts
Final Queen is the debut solo show from Australian circus performer and theatre maker Harrison Sweeney, and his drag persona Grace Lightning. Now a fixture of the London circus cabaret scene, his work is “striking and technically accomplished" (All Things Theatre), with “the confidence to sizzle unapologetically” (Weekend Notes). Co-created with award winning theatre director and horror-comedy specialist Rachel Kerry, whose previous work has been described as "unabashed extravagance" by Time Out, and "uncompromising parody" by The Scotsman.
Duration: 60 minutes
