LITF Presents: STRANGE(R) PAGES
Lost in the Foxglove: Regular Poetry Club would love to welcome you to a brand new series fixture at Rhizomatic!. This time you're invited to STRANGE(R) PAGES. A combination poetry workshop, open mic event where guests are equipped with the tools to begin a brand new poem, and perform on the mic on the same night. Though, the twist is you won't be reading your own work aloud. This event is perfect for anyone whose been wanting to work up the courage to perform, but has been too nervous to take the leap. You might be wondering what I could possibly mean by this… Seems like you'll just have to come and find out. Think queer, community, low-pressure, creativity, and play. What to expect: Arrival & mingle for a bit. Once everyone has a drink or two (NA options available), we will move into the lesson and poetry writing portion of the evening. Then it's time to swap seats, and open up the floor to a series of readings. Come along and see what all the fuss is about!Bring a date, bring a mate, everyone is welcome. Though please keep in mind that LITF events programming are FLINTA-run and focused. While allies are welcome, just make sure you respect the space!
