This concert is a rich exploration of what can and can’t be said in song and in words. In this program titled “Your Words - My Song” offer contemplations on how words evoke music and at the same are also music in themselves drawing on poems by Paul Verlaine, music by Felix Mendelssohn and improvisation. About small room & small talk
small room sessions create a space of generosity and community within which artists can experiment with new ideas and practices. small talk extends this ethos, offering a space for experimenting with a wide range of intimate artistic connections, from spoken word to arts-led workshops and practice-research.
Whether they are voicing a poem for the first time, developing a workshop, or preparing a performance lecture, small talks is a space for these practitioners to engage intimately and informally with an engaged audience and develop new facets of their practice and research.
