Introduction for new dancers 7-7:30pm
💃 No partner or special shoes needed, come along and learn whichever role you fancy (or both of them!) in a friendly and inclusive environment. We’ll get you started with the basics you need to get the most out of the class at 7:30. Anyone is welcome to come to this part to review technique that we’ll be building on later in the evening.
Informal beginner friendly class 7:30-8:30pm:
💃 We’ll go deeper into an aspect of tango. The class with regularly rotate partners as well as work on solo exercises and build up to either a short sequence or a set of options for improvising in social dance.
Practica & Social 8:30-10pm:
💃 No organised teaching or tandas, skill sharing & workshopping actively encouraged. Bring something you want to work on, join in with others or chill out & chat - the time & space is yours!
Our vibes are:
️✨ Explicitly queer friendly, but not exclusively queer
️✨ Open role - dance either or both roles
️✨ Don't assume what role someone dances based on their gender presentation
️✨ Primarily traditional tango music
️✨ £5 for the whole evening, no questions asked free entry if you are in financial hardship, just let me know if this applies (nights where we have a guest teacher are £15)
✨ Some snacks will be provided, feel free to bring something to share too!
Our events are always open to feedback and changes. If you think there’s something we could do/change to improve then please tell us 🙂
