Come celebrate the history and legacy of the Joiners Arms–the legendary queer pub on Hackney Road that was forced to close in 2015, and that has today inspired the Joiners Heart! Dan Glass will host a panel discussion on the legacy of the Joiners Arms, nightlife and queer spaces in London, with DJ Ritu, Jon Ward and more guests TBA soon. The incredible performer Ebony Rose Dark will close the evening with an exclusive performance. TIMINGS:
As part of this event, we'll be running a one-month-long exhibition and audio archive launching on 22 August and running until 20 Sept. This will include…
- Audio interviews with long-time punters of the Joiners Arms - Friends of the Joiners Arms' campaign items- Photos of the old venue- Paintings inspired by the pub- Library of books on queer history & spaces
