Queer Global documents the lives of LGBTQ+ global majority and migrant Londoners, from the 1960s to today. This exhibition brings together photographs, oral history recordings, and artwork created by the community throughout the project, alongside the story of how it all came together.
Four days at Chiswick House and Gardens. Photographs, oral histories, and a chance to explore the gardens alongside them.
Walk through the exhibition and take in photographs from workshops held at Chiswick House & the London LGBTQ+ centre, oral history sessions, and community events, including silk paintings created by participants. Oral history extracts play throughout the day, and you're welcome to explore the wider gardens at your own pace during your visit.
Table talk events and live oral history recordings are taking place across the four days, with full details to be confirmed and shared soon.
There's a chance to get involved yourself while you're there. Get a free portrait taken, and if you're LGBTQ+ and from the global majority, your portrait can be added to the permanent Queer Global archive at Bishopsgate Institute.
