LIGHT ASYLUM
Light Asylum, originally out of Brooklyn, now Portland, is an electronic music project led by Shannon Funchess, blending post-punk, synthpop, and darkwave. They get the Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode comparisons for good reason and exist in that space where industrial gives way to goth. Shannon is also the voice you've heard on records by TV on the Radio, !!!, and The Knife, and on stage with LCD Soundsystem, Peaches, and Clan of Xymox. An unmissable live act, so good, we've already put them on thrice!

Once one half of post-punk duo Sink Ya Teeth, Maria Uzor now flies solo and blends techno, electro, and proto-rave into pure rhythmic magic. Her new album 'Fantasyland' is out now on Hey Buffalo. Dancefloor epiphanies, guaranteed.
