BOO! 👻 WE’RE BACK, SL@GS!
After a SOLD OUT first year, Spooky Sl@gs is back for round two — and this time we’re bringing TWO FLOORS OF MUSIC, MORE DJs, MORE collectives, Dancers and even MORE spooky slaggy surprises!
A little warning from us: GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY. Last year, Spooky Sl@gs sold out 3 days before the event. While we’ve got two floors this year, we’re deliberately not massively increasing capacity because we want to be intentional with the spooky slaggy space — not cram you all in like haunted sardines. 👻
Spooky Sl@gs — a full-throttle night of DJs, dancers, collectives, performances, vendors, a costume competition with a £100 cash prize, and more tricks and treats!
Expect sounds ranging from bashment, dancehall, afrobeats, amapiano, soca, ballroom, house, Jersey, R&B, hip-hop, pop edits, queer club bangers, plus plenty of unexpected spooky slaggy selections thrown in for good measure.
And it’s not just DJs — expect GO-GO dancers, ballroom performances, and more!
We’re celebrating our community with an all-QTIBPOC all-star lineup:
Jungle Kitty, Let’s Have a Kiki, Pride City, Strapped, Tarts, To The Left, Tribe, Bambi, Donnie Sunshine, Kin Soul, Mark-Ashley Dupe, 1000raks, Tayo Iku, TRYB, Taali Not Charlie, House of Leveaux & more TBA!
Put on a costume (or lack thereof) that makes you feel drop-dead gorgeous, because there’s a Halloween costume competition with a £100 cash prize for the most creative look.
Get ready to have a scream, a dance, a DMC in the smoking area, snog a vampire, make some spooky connections and celebrate our community on the dance floor.
And if you’re in the mood to make a spooky connection, make sure you arrive at 11pm. Dope Black Queers and Tribe will be holding a 1-hour social at the bar for anyone coming alone or anyone looking to make new connections in the community. 🖤
Allies are welcome to come and party with us at this event, but remember: you’re guests in this space. Show up, celebrate us, and act accordingly.
