The link between breakdance, hip-hop and Asians goes back to the early days.
From inspiring groups like Wu-Tang Clan, to being core members of 2 Live Crew, Dilated Peoples, Black Eyed Peas, The Neptunes and many more - the East and South East Asian (ESEA) community has always been immersed in hip-hop and breaking.
Join Sama Sama Records as we spotlight some of the UK's best breakdancers of ESEA heritage, with a dance battle showcase. This includes Leon Ung (Britain's Got Talent), Kwan Chan (Pineapple Studios), Infante (Break Force) and Dr Gabz (SoulMavs), with more to come.
The night will be soundtracked by DJ BobaFatt (known for his epic mixes for Huey Morgan on BBC 6 Music) and Norsicaa, the Malaysian-Australian founder of Sama Sama Records - and former b-girl herself.
Doors open at 7pm and performances will take place between 8:30-10pm - make sure you're early if you want to watch!
