Calling all poetry-obsessed queer Londoners! We're thrilled to announce another Queer Creatives Workshop: ✨ Poetry Performance with Gayathiri Kamalakanthan ✨
Event Details:
🗓️ Saturday 28th November
⏰ 2pm - 4pm
📍 ARC Collective, 98b St Paul Street, London, N1 7DF
About the workshop:
This intimate performance workshop focuses on developing confidence in performing a poem or similar written text. We’ll be exploring performance through our body, voice, bringing audiences into our world and silence as performance. There will be a 10 minute comfort break and you can dip in and out as you need.
Knowledge required: no prior knowledge required!! Beginners are very welcome :)
What to bring: a poem/piece of writing you have written that is about 1 minute long that you’re comfortable sharing out loud with the group. If you don't yet have this, pick a piece of writing by someone else that resonates with you in a personal way.
This workshop is a great chance to meet other queer folks in London, whether you're attending with friends or coming alone - all while learning something new and honing your craft.
💸 Tickets are pay what you can, anything from £7!
QCL is not for profit; all profits go towards paying the venue for hosting us and future events & projects within the collective.
