Featuring the Cuban big band Orquesta Estelar who are true comrades and donating their talents for the cause.
Money raised to benefit Cuba Vive Medical Appeal, who delivers life-saving medicines, surgical supplies and essential medical equipment to Cuba.
Lewisham loves Cuba, and we have raised £10,000 from our Fundraisers in April and in July. The situation couldn't be more dire. Cubans are facing blackouts, limited water and food, and a criminal US government threatening a military invasion.
This is a crisis imposed on the Cuban people. People in Cuba are not able to get basic necessities because of the blockade.
Our Lewisham fundraisers are efforts to make solidarity a practical, material help to the Cuban people.
Bring a friend and help spread the word! This is a good night out for a good cause!
GIFTS FOR CUBANS. WE ARE ALSO COLLECTING SUPPLIES ON THE NIGHT TO TAKE TO CUBA
We are also collecting supplies to be delivered by Lewisham activists travelling to Cuba on the Guantanamo Peace Brigade on 4 January, 2027.
They will be filling dozens of oversized suitcases full of medical supplies to deliver to hospitals, educational facilities, and public institutions in Havana and Santiago.
Please come to the Fox and Firkin with supplies from the list below.
It's the Christmas Season, so be generous and purchase an item or two off this list to bring 10 December. The more the merrier!
Items should be new and unopened.
- Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss (especially children’s toothpaste)
- Child-specific medicine (chewable vitamins/medicine, liquid-form medicine)
- Paracetamol
