6pm /// Serge Volant
Serge kept a field recorder in his pocket for a year. Using the recordings he made whenever he remembered to load it with batteries, he created a sonic journal documenting a deeply intimate part of his life, through travel and the chance encounters that come with it. Working with modular synthesizers, he manipulates these recordings into ambient electronic soundscapes.
Serge’s debut album, Everyday is all there is, is a collection of pieces built from this world, transforming personal moments and places into contemplative listening.
7.15pm /// LUKI
“The first time listening to LUKI feels like a miraculous discovery of something timeless and true, as though they’ve been waiting patiently to be discovered in the noisy maelstrom of contemporary pop music.” The Guardian
LUKI’s music takes inspiration from post-punk experimentalism, baroque pop, and the odd edges of musical theatre. An ambivalent love for the ballad puts the voice in a central role, supported by an eclectic cast of electronic and acoustic instruments and textures. Compelled, always, to try and capture the direct emotional appeal of a pop song out of and alongside layered worlds of lyrical and sonic storytelling.
LUKI’s recent EP, Old Feelings (Staying Out Records, 2026), is three songs charting the messy and opaque process of coming to terms with loss. New album - Half True - coming soon.
