One of the most challenging issues for Kink-identified therapists is how to manage the potential conflicts between living and working within their community. It is also a conflict also shared by many LGBTQ+ therapists apprehensive about running into clients at community events, bars, clubs and online dating.
This webinar is a collaboration between Pink Therapy and TASHRA and will offer an opportunity to reflect on how to maintain ethical obligations to our clients and ourselves.

When a client makes a disclosure about Kink
on Saturday 27 June 2020 at 6-8pm BST (10am-12pm PST)
In a world where 50 shades of grey continues to gain in popularity, some clients will be thinking about exploring this for themselves but won’t know how to be explicit about it. Or perhaps they have and you haven’t known quite how to respond confidently.
This training will give you a chance to increase your understanding of ‘kink’ and what it might mean to your clients. It will help you facilitate conversations and give you some tools to be confident in the counselling room in responding to both the explicit and implicit.
Trainer: LJ is a person-centred counsellor and trainer who works specifically with GSRD populations. They also teach counselling/psychotherapy at two universities.
