Our sessions are led by leading industry creatives combining design development, photography, making, and drawing!
Our sessions are for 14-19 year olds.
Week 1
‘Martine Rose and Shauni Douglas: Building a silhouette and fashion drawing with chalk and charcoal!’
Working with vintage garments and select pieces from Martines' archive, this styled workshop will explore building a silhouette, design development, and mark-making.
Your work will then be modeled in a set designed by SketchSesh which you will then draw!

Week 2
‘Nasir Mazhar: Model making and drawing in colour!’
In this session, you will be guided by Nasir in developing a costume accessory.
Your work will then be modeled in a set designed by SketchSesh which you will then draw!

Week 3
‘Chau Har Lee: Designing a shoe!’
Chau will guide you through the first stages of the shoe design process, sculpted in 3D. Your work will then be modeled in a fashion-themed still life, which you will then draw!
Chau is a footwear consultant who has worked for Nike, Balmain, and YSL.

Week 4
'Thom Walker: Creating a fashion face in mixed media'
Thom will guide you through his favourite iconic make-up looks that explore how the human face can be transformed. You will then create a mask inspired by some of Thom’s editorial work.
Your work will then be modeled in a set designed by SketchSesh which you will then draw!

Week 5
‘Roxy Lee: Assembling your portfolio!’
In this session, Roxy will present a talk on her recent creative collaborations and guide you in editing your work. You will also have a 1-2-1 tutorial with James and Simon where you can discuss the next steps in your creative practice.

What do I get at the end?
At the end of this 5-week course, you will leave with a varied portfolio of projects preparing you for the next stage of your design practice. This is a great introduction to skills you might use in the creative industries!
