Liverpool Queer Collective's Storytelling Event "Telling Tales" Is Back
And this time the theme is Let’s Get Physical
You’re invited to a special storytelling event where local people will share their stories from an LGBTQ+ perspective on Sunday 25 July 2021 at the Fashion Hub Bar and Kitchen, 14 Gildart St, Liverpool L3 8ET.
LGBTQ+ experience of sport and physical activity can be very different to that of straight people. Love it or hate it queer people are often marginalised by the narrow gender boundaries presented by sport and the changing room culture, which can present feelings of awkwardness, fear and excitement.
Also the pandemic and a loss of real life activity has maybe changed our perceptions and needs for physical interaction in ways that we would have never imagined.
So as the Olympics kick off and restrictions are slowly being eased it seems like the time is right to get together and get physical!
This is a socially distanced event - you will be seated and served at your table, please wear your favourite face covering.
A limited food selection will be available to order between 6-7pm with vegetarian and vegan options. If you have any specific food requirements let us known and we will put you in contact with the Fashion Hub Bar and Kitchen. The stories and entertainment will take place from 7pm until 9pm.
Musical entertainment will be provided from our new house band the Luv Puffs. The Luv Puffs are a queer band who met in Liverpool with Brazilian, Welsh and Scouse vibes who perform energetic covers sprinkled with Luv for all the gorgeous puffs out there!!
This event is suitable for attendees who are 16+.
