Reading a novel by Niven Govinden is both a deeply interior experience and also cinematic. A former film student, Govinden is working his way through an arc of novels about creators, most recently Diary of a Film, about a filmmaker between films.
In this conversation with Adam Zmith, Fringe!'s literature programmer, Govinden will explore his relationship to film as a novelist, his film influences, his interest in the question of who has the right to tell certain stories, and how.
Niven will also be available to sign copies of his books after the talk.
