Join Babes and Botanicals for an evening of Life drawing & Lino printing.
Over the course of 2 hours you will draw, design and create your own Babes and Botanicals Lino print.
To start you will take part in a 40 minute botanical life drawing class with model Meg.
We will then have a short break before being guided in turning your life drawings into a beautiful Lino print for you to take home.
All art abilities welcome, suitable for beginners and more experienced artists looking to try something new.
The price of ticket includes all materials however you are also welcome to bring your own.
Please note the event space is alcohol free. You are welcome to purchase and enjoy alcoholic beverages in the ground floor bar prior and after the event. During the event only soft and hot drinks are allowed.

Who runs Babes and Botanicals?
Polly (she/her) a Queer Art Gal who predominantly creates botanical prints of babes living their best lives. Celebrating and uplifting an inclusive range of bodies. Helping people feel represented and empowered. Through making handmade, limited edition, Lino prints with an eco friendly conscience.
What is Life drawing?
A live drawing class featuring a nude model presenting varying and multiple poses.
What is Lino printing?
A type of relief printing. An image/design is carved into a block of Lino, ink is then rolled onto the Lino block and pressed onto paper to leave a print.
What is Glass House?
An exciting new LGBTQIA+ multidisciplinary venue led by Glass House Projects. Their three spaces The Common Press (bookshop café), The Commons (multimedia events space) and The Common Counter (restaurant & bar-coming soon) offer a hub for London's diverse creatives and community to thrive. The venue is situated in Brick Lane, Shoreditch.
What if I don't identify as LGBTQIA+, can I still attend the workshop?
The workshop is primarily a space for Queer people however respectful allies are welcome.
Is it accessible?
The ground floor of Glass House is accessible, with accessible toilet access. However the event space is in the basement down a set of stairs.
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials are provided however you are welcome to bring your own as-well.
Event time:
The event starts at 6.30pm, please arrive promptly so we can start the workshop on time.
Photos and filming:
Please do not take photos or videos of the model during the life drawing class. You are welcome to take photos/videos during the rest of the workshop. We'd love it if you can tag any content on instagram with the accounts @babes_and_botanicals, @fatmeglifemodel and @glasshouselondon
Covid-19 precautions:
We ask all attendees to have a negative lateral flow test prior to the event. This helps us be as safe as possible for everyone.
