Session Agenda
You will be welcomed to the session and to the meditation. Uz Afzal, the Kalda mindfulness teacher will lead the group in a short guided meditation. There will be an opportunity to share reflection on the meditation, for those who feel comfortable doing so. There will also be a sharing circle, where any member of the group can share what's on their mind. We will end on intention setting for the week.
All activities are invitational, you are free to share as much as you feel comfortable and participate to the level that you feel comfortable. We encourage you to have your camera on for the safety of the group.
How should I prepare?
Find a private space where you won’t be disturbed. Make sure you are able to access Zoom from the device that you’re on.
How will the session help?
Whether you are experienced with mindfulness or not, you'll learn and practice techniques in a safe space that are proven to relax the body and the mind. Sharing with like minded people also has a positive impact on your mental health.
What is the group contract?
Confidentiality: Everything that is said in the session is confidential. Even your presence in the session will not be shared with anyone else.
Flexibility: You can choose not to take in a practice at any time. It's also fine to take breaks.
Non-judgement: We approach the activities, our minds, and bodies in a non-judgemental way. We don't judge other participants.
Respect: We respect ourself and other participants.
Care : We care for ourselves and other participants.
Why do I have to be over 18?
Because there is a sharing circle, where adults are invited to share anything on their mind. We want people to feel comfortable sharing content of an adult nature.
