Join us for an evening of plant filled life drawing lead by Polly (she/her) of Babes and Botanicals and Model Kaila.
Across the evening you will be drawing Kaila in varied poses amongst botanical props. The pose lengths will range from 1-15 minutes.
California native, Kaila Holford (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, and life model based in London. After working professionally in LA choreographing both contemporary and musical theatre productions, she made the leap across the pond to complete her MFA in choreography at Trinity Laban. She now works for a non profit as a children's dance teacher aiming to make dance accessible to minority/ underserved communities.
The class is untutored and is designed to be a space to enjoy being creative in a relaxed and friendly environment. Experienced life drawers and novices are all welcome!
Some materials will be supplied however if you are able to please bring your own.

Who runs Babes and Botanicals?
Polly (she/her) a Queer Art Gal who predominantly creates botanical prints of babes living their best lives. Celebrating and uplifting marginalised bodies. Helping people feel represented and empowered. Through running workshops, classes and making handmade, limited edition, Lino prints with an eco friendly conscience.
What is Life drawing?
A live drawing class featuring a nude/semi-nude model presenting varying and multiple poses.
What is The Glory?
London’s leading queer venue and performance mecca.
What if I don't identify as LGBTQIA+, can I still attend the class?
The class is primarily a space for Queer people however respectful allies are welcome.
Is it accessible?
The event space is in the basement down a set of stairs.
Do I need to bring anything?
Some materials will be provided however you are encouraged to bring your own.
Photos and filming:
Please do not take photos or videos of the model during the life drawing class. We'd love it if you can tag any content (e.g drawings) on instagram with the accounts @babes_and_botanicals, @dance_encounter and @thegloryldn
Covid-19 precautions:
We ask all attendees to have a negative lateral flow test prior to the event. This helps us be as safe as possible for everyone.
