Trans camping festival with art performances, bonfire, workshops and poetry readings in the woods.
22-24th July 2022, in the Woods near Leighton Buzzard, UK. A 1 1/2 hour drive from central London. The exact location is revealed upon purchase of a ticket.
The festival will take place in the woods, where workshops and performances will be held. The program consists of poetry readings, art performances, foraging, bonfires, slime wrestling, karaoke and swimming in a river.
There will be a leatherwork workshop, artistic sound workshop and body movement workshop.
The camp will primarily be sober, but with a party on Saturday. We were inspired by the Nevada Paris Review essay and the Michelle Tea essay.
The festival is run, staffed and centres trans people.
Facilities
One domestic shower and toilet, and 2 portable toilets. There will either be an electrical generator or a shed to charge phones etc. There are no tents set up on the campground so bring your own tents. The garden is huge and lighting is limited so bring a torch. The lake will be lit up at night for safety reasons.
Catering
Catering will be vegan. We are currently looking for food sponsorships
Guests are encouraged to also cook among themselves, so do bring disposable BBQs
If anyone wants to help out with cooking during the festival, sign up here: SIGNUP
Location and transport
The venue is set in a valley with hills and woodland on three sides. There are grocery stores and a pub 1-2 miles away from the campground.

Accessibility information:
The camping site is level but part of the area where there will be workshops is hilly. There is no barrier to the lake. It’s by the end of the campground. We are publicising a venue map the following week.
One of the portable toilets can be ordered to be wheelchair accessible upon request (email). There is one step to the domestic toilet and shower.
There will be a welfare person on the site. It’s a relatively small festival approximately 55 -60 guests.
There will be disabled tent pitch sites closest to the toilet/shower facilities and water outlets.
It’s possible with the budget to accommodate different disabilities financially.
