Experimental Indie Alternative with hints of Spoken Word, Trip Hop and Latin rhythms - the unusual music of Mexican-born composer Jorge Hernandez invites you to dance, while in the next moment you sink into multi-layered melodies and voices. In-between electronic instruments such as synths, electric guitar, heavy base lines and partly electronic beats, acoustic instruments like accordion and violin create a fun and mesmerising genre bending sound scape. 

 

His lyrics borrow from literature and poetically jump not only between impressions of nature and human pleasure but also between languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and German.  For more than 10 years, the musician and composer released under the project GlowStone Leaf Orchestra. 13 albums later, it was time for a new beginning: Since 2019, he has been composing and performing as Cenzontle - “mockingbird” - under which 5 albums, most recently “Erster FrĂĽhling” (2022) and “Cenzontle” (2023), were released. Jorge lives in Berlin and performs live with a three people band.
