Dirtbox started in 2009 in the Dalston, then one of the first queer club nights in this neighbourhood. Held then at a speakeasy venue known Vogue Fabrics, now known as the licenced venue VFD. Guest DJ's at the party included Josh Sparber (nyc), Gideon (nyc downlow) and Shannon Funchess (Light Asylum) to name but many but it was The Duchess of Pork, Gibson and Princess Michael of Cunt that created the Dirtbox sound synonymous with Italo & queer disco sounds fused with Chicago House.
