Diversity Choir is London’s original lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community chamber choir. Formed in 1992, the choir wanted to sing a real variety of music; this includes music from Medieval chants to contemporary 21st Century composers such as Jonathan Dove and we balance this with a lively enthusiasm for music from a spectrum of other genres: folk, show tunes, jazz and popular music from the Fifties to today.
We have grown and developed over the last two decades from a small group of friends to a friendly 50-strong choir, with recent performances at Various Voices in Dublin, St. John’s Waterloo and the Big Wedding weekend at the Royal Festival Hall.
In addition to our concerts, we are also actively engaged, together with London’s other LGBT singing groups, in a wide variety of community festivals, events and projects.
