Queer House Party is a London-based queer collective consisting of DJs Harry Gay, passer, and host Taali Not Charlie. In the last five years, QHP has rapidly evolved into a powerful force and one of London’s most sought-after club nights, merging safer, accessible spaces with high-energy, unforgettable events, all while showcasing the potential to bring politics back to the dancefloor.
Queer House Party was born out of the pressures of lockdown and has grown into a new model for nightlife - one where providing an accessible and safer space doesn’t come at the expense of having an incredible night out. They have reimagined the potential of nightlife and clubbing spaces, welcoming many people through their doors who hadn’t engaged in nightlife before and taking that energy back onto the streets to fight for positive social change.
Since their inception, they have sold out every party and toured both nationally and internationally. Their unmatched energy, mixes, and commitment to their community have solidified them as a staple in major festival lineups, headlining stages at festivals such as Mighty Hoopla, Body Movements, Secret Garden Party, Standon Calling, Homobloc, Glastonbury, Latitude, Sziget, and Boomtown.
Queer House Party has built a dedicated global community of supporters, including high-profile figures like Dua Lipa, Self Esteem, Jaguar, Jamz Supernova, and Romy. Their work has been featured in prominent publications such as Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, Hunger, Huck, Bricks, Time Out, Vice, Gay Times, Stylist, and Attitude.
On the radio front, highlights include guest mixes on BBC Radio 1 for Jaguar’s Introducing Dance, one-hour guest mixes on BBC Radio 6 Music in 2022 and 2023, a one-hour takeover on The Lot Radio in NYC, regular appearances on Foundation FM from 2021 to 2024, and a weekly residency on AAJA Radio since 2022.
Their 1,200-capacity, two-room, nine-hour-long London parties have consistently sold out for five years, showcasing artists such as Bianca Oblivion, ABSOLUTE., I. Jordan, Jaguar, Meg Ward, Lady Shaka, Tash LC, and Only Fire.
At Queer House Party, it’s not just about the DJs; they also feature live performances from artists like Tom Rasmussen, Lynks, Grove, The Oozes, and Rose Gray. They frequently collaborate with performance collectives, spotlighting performers often overlooked in the nightlife scene. These include collectives like Black is King, Cybertease, The Bitten Peach, Drag Syndrome, and Haus of Telfar.
In under five years, Queer House Party has revolutionised the queer nightlife scene, infusing it with much-needed queer joy and anarchism. And they’re not stopping anytime soon!
