SET is a London-based contemporary arts organisation and registered charity that transforms vacant buildings across the city into spaces for eclectic, experimental culture, collective making, and community. Founded by three artists in 2016, it has grown into a network of centres shaped and sustained by the communities who inhabit them, supporting over 1,000 artists through some of London’s most affordable studios.
At the heart of SET is a year-round public programme co-created with members and the wider public, encompassing exhibitions, performances, residencies, workshops, talks, film, live music, DJ sets, literature, social projects, and activism.
Specialist and multipurpose spaces include SET Social, SET 91 (SET’s first in-house curated gallery), and SET Ceramics, which also offers educational courses. These venues host much of SET’s programme, providing platforms for artists at all stages and fostering collaboration between artists and audiences.
