About TRIBE Incorporated

Tribe is a live music event and community space. Tribe was founded in response to the lack of safe art spaces for people of intersecting marginalised identities, especially Queer dark skin Black people. Our events bridge the community together with music being the centrepiece. We hope to expand people’s perception of community and themselves. Our name is inspired by African philosophies of collective living.

We are founded under the principles of the Biafran proverb which states, “Gidi

Gidi bu Ugwu Eze”, translating to the equivalent of “in Unity there is strength"
