An online seminar with Tim Foskett focussed on a pre-recorded talk by psychotherapist Francis Weller entitled: Love in friendship and relationships and other mysteries.
We are delighted to announce this evening seminar which will be a deep dive into the ideas about love and intimacy of Francis Weller.
Francis is an American psychotherapist, author and soul activist. Well known for pioneering grief rituals in the USA and his book The Wild Edge of Sorrow.
This seminar will focus on a talk Francis gave as part of the series: Living Soulfully and Why It Matters.
Francis speaks poignantly, poetically and pragmatically about love in friendship and intimate relationship, drawing on ideas, practices and poetry across several cultures.
Tim says:
“When I first heard this talk I immediately wanted to share it with the Loving Men community. Every word of it spoke to me in ways that aligned with and deepened the ongoing conversations about love and intimacy we have been having within Loving Men for over twenty years.”
Love comes quietly,
finally,
drops about me,
on me,
in the old ways.
What did I know
thinking myself
able to go
alone all the way. (by Robert Creeley)
Francis has kindly given us permission to use this talk in our seminar, which is not freely available to the public. About 90 minutes of the evening will involve listening to the pre-recorded talk, in two chunks. The remainder of the seminar will involve small group and larger group discussion. And we’ll take breaks!
