In January at Transmissions it's all classics, all month and we're opening the season with the Elliot Page's breakout film, Juno (2007).
We're back from our Christmas break and ready to welcome you down to Dalston Superstore where we'll be cosy in the basement revisiting Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody's quirked up, relentlessly quotable little miracle about surprise pregnancy and coming to terms with Jennifer Garner's ability to smoke an entire cast of legends with only a handful of scenes.
With a huge heart and a soundtrack jammed full of tumblr-era twee and comforting indie boy nonsense, Juno is long overdue for our reappraisal.
Before the film we'll be joined by writer Jem Nash, for a discussion of his experience of transmasculinity, representation, and all things Elliot Page.
As always, Transmissions is a space designed to be a home to the trans community, and we'll always put you first.
So come grab a drink at the bar, meet some regulars (maybe even become one?) and start the new year right with us.
