A Press of Suspects {presents} have teamed up with S.T.R.A.W are thrilled to announce a Comedy Event at the recently re-opened Steel Brew, Royal William Yard, with ALL profit going to support S.T.R.A.W.
It is an honour to be able to support this incredible Plymouth based non profit. S.T.R.A.W are raising money for a judicial review which will be at the Royal Court of Justice and will determine whether Plymouth City Council have acted unlawfully in cutting down our trees. We must hold them to account and lessons need to be learned to save other trees in Plymouth and beyond.
Performing on the night will be:
Ben Treloar: Having just won the first semi-final of Cornish Comedian of the Year, Ben is a rising star of the Southwest stand-up scene. With audiences occasionally enjoying his deadpan musings on life, he’s quickly performing much further afield than his native Cornwall, recently becoming a finalist at Standup for Cider, one of the biggest competitions in the Southwest circuit. Join him on a sarcastic journey as he rambles about exciting topics such as; supermarkets, urinals and how to steal material from better comedians.
The Willtordian Ballorian Edwardian ‘Experience’: A comic who has been wowing audiences with his unique brand of comedy. A man with a penchant for owls and a celebration of the absurd silliness of life! He talks frankly about his experience as a father and uses music, loops and FX to create a bonkers experience. Now with additional comics backing him up…
Cristina Varga: Another newer comedian who is making waves here in Plymouth. A natural and gifted performer who will take you on some lovely aural journeys! Currently performing her one woman show at Plymouth Theatre Royal. One to watch…
Tickets are Pay What You Can (min £5) - with all profit going to S.T.R.A.W
