‘40 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS PARTY’
Created and hosted by one of the legendary Rebel Dykes, accomplished drag king and jazz singer, King Frankie Sinatra. Kings Of Clubs has evolved into a prominent London cabaret night which showcases a rich variety of drag king art from budding to established performers. Kings Of Clubs is a night that is full of heart, which makes for an enriching audience experience.
November line up
Al Dente - Like his name, Al is not too soft, not too hard, still a good mouthful. He’s been playing piano since he could twirl spaghetti round a fork. As a teenager outside Providence, Al began serenading guests of the local Italian-American restaurants. When he came of age, his repertoire broadened to include cocktail bars and jazz combos up and down Rhode Island’s coast. He recently entered the drag king world when King Frankie Sinatra noticed his exquisite fingering.
Pip Dream - King of highbrow stupidity and reigning champion of the prestigious NADC. Pip Dream would be known as the thinking person's drag if he wasn't so fit.
Loui Von Dini - Loui is an International award winning drag King who loves to bring abracadabra and fun into everything he does. He does magic and circus skills and it sure to put a smile on your face with his cheeky ways.
Fancy Chance -Fancy has been tassel twirling, drag kinging, hair hanging and live arting on stages around the world and in London for…. ages. Her comedy has been laughed at to the point of sore cheeks and panty wetting.
Tricky Martin - The best knees and hips in he bizness… if you saw them last time you will thoroughly agree. The UK's oldest drag king, no it's not King Frankie!
Fabio Lezonli - Fabio is the nepo baby of the east London drag scene and always leaves his fans frazzled, fanny-fluttered and frenzied for more. He can do it all (or at least believes he can). Known for his crowd work and unhinged nature, you may have already seen Fabio in the 2023 man up final, NADC 4.0 semi-final, or just round the corner scaring the neighbours. Since exploding onto the scene at the start of the year, super hunk Fabio Lezonli’s been charming his was into the hearts of thousands across London.
Butch Springsteen - Queer icon and heartthrob Butch Springsteen is rumoured to be going down to The River’s nearest joint, The RVT, for Kings of Clubs. He’s got a Hungry Heart and dreams of better days, maybe even some Dancing in the Dark. Born in the USA [and to run], he’s not often seen on these Backstreets. Is that him, or just a Brilliant Disguise?
Ray Jissues - Ray is a world renowned artist and his mother says he’s a genius. What he lacks in self awareness, he makes up for in self confidence. He’d make any woman happy, as long as he could have all her opinions for her. That’s how much of a feminist he is.
Uncle Carl
He collects football cards, sleeps on your sofa and is stuck in the late 1980's. Uncle Carl is looking for love, but doesn't know where to find it, or how to find it, or what love is. The weird thing is that we all know an Uncle Carl, come and meet this one tonight.
