Work Out With Pride Fundraiser: Sweat and Sound Sessions for opening doors!
At Workout with PRIDE, our passion is to create a space for all people to feel encouraged and supported while learning how to exercise correctly and enhance their well-being in a fun, inclusive environment.
Join us for our fundraiser for opening doors, Sweat and Sound Sessions, which combine exercise and movement with sound healing and relaxation. This special event will start with a mobility class where we will offer a range of exercises designed to increase your range of motion, control muscles surrounding each joint whilst strengthening and lengthening other muscles, and ultimately help you move more actively.
After the mobility class we'll then settle down for deep relaxation aided by a gong bath. We will be using vibrations as a guide to drop into the body and feel our way into a deep meditation. After the class there will be time to catch up over warming tea and nourishing snacks.
This is a beginner friendly class. Exercise mats will be provided. We suggested bringing the following:
- Comfortable clothing and work out shoes.
- A blanket or warm layers (your temperature will drop during the gong bath)
- An eye mask / something to cover your eyes with
- Water!
*** Please note that Gong Baths are not suitable for people in their first trimester of pregnancy, who have stress induced epilepsy, suffer from certain extreme mental health problems (such as sound triggered PTSD), or who have pacemaker. Please reach out prior to the event if you have any conditions / considerations you would like to discuss.
