Communal Clay No.16 @ SET Social, Peckham
CERAMIC INLAY DRAWING WORKSHOP
** TIME CHANGE 6:30 - 8:30pm.
Using clay as a base material you will be able to translate the process and ways of drawing onto clay to make a 3D sculptural drawing, which can then be hung on a wall. We will be using different coloured clay bodies, and inlay as a technique to draw and make shape and pattern within the clay.
The session will last 2 hours. It is a relaxed session so take your time, have a drink whilst making if you fancy :)
You will be able to add colour and depth to your work with wild clay slips we have collected from around South London. And the option to have the piece fired and glazed with wood ash or transparent glaze.
At the end of the workshop if you wish to have your piece fired and glazed, we ask you pay an additional £10 to cover firing costs, glaze materials & transport of your work back to SET. **
Theses workshops will be more focused on the tactility of playing, practicing and learning sculpture techniques.
All clay at the end of the session will be recycled for future use, minimising wastage and keeping our workshops sustainable.
