GPN hosts a social event followed by an optional lunch and a further walk and visit on Saturday 28th September 2024.
Let's walk in the City of London in a two part walk with lunch (choose & pay for what you want)
You are invited to a 3 - 4 hour explore a fascinating part of the most historic part of London plus lunch:
11am Tower Hill Tube Station by the statue of Trajan
Part 1
1) Explore Commonwealth War Graves for those lost at sea in war time
2) see execution site / memorial for Tower of London from 1300’s onwards
3) see Tower of london (ToL) Superbloom
4) Lunch near to ToL
5) see birth records of William Penn (Pensylvania) and marrage records of a US President in a Crypt
6) see Siege of Malta memorial
7) explore bombed out Church (St Dunstans - lovely)
8) see exactly where fire of London began in 1666
9) first part - end at Monument tube.
Optional Lunch venue to be confirmed
Part 2 - additional 1.5 hours
continue to some close Up Roman Ruins
- Bloomberg including the Mithraeum
- Guildhall and its roman amphitheatre.
Limited to 20 people, it is a free event but a suggested donation of £20 per person is sought towards the upkeep of the network
