Queer Mythologies, Trans Paganism, and the Spirit of the Other in Pretzel Cage’s The Mountain.
The Mountain delves into doppelgängers, gender sublimation and resurrection. Through an alchemical romance of transformation, tragedy, and triumph, Pretzel Cage weaves a narrative of avant-garde drag theatrics.
Join Pretzel Cage for their debut performance at The Divine, east London’s beloved LGBTQIA+ venue. Known for their experimental and genre-defying style, Pretzel blends alternative and traditional drag motifs with performance art. Their high-energy, provocative acts deconstruct the binary and celebrate gender diversity through a fusion of voice, instruments, projections, and lighting, creating soundscapes that range from acid house to modern opera—melding movement, lip-sync, and sound into a captivating experience.
