GREETINGS EARTHWORMS!
We are excited as Saturn to announce our next Walking Trees Collective wander|wonder.
Come and get ticking with us in GREENWICH PARK on Sunday 8th December!!
The first ever Walking Trees Collective wander|wander (ever in the universe!) was in Greenwich Park 21 moons ago (March 2023) and we've been aching to hop back in a time machine and re-remember this bizarre, beautiful vast patch of green peering over Old Mother Thames. With its physical lines of time, colonial colonnades, its telescopes pointing to the stars and views of wanker-banker London, it feels like a fine spot to contemplate what the hell this version of the story is all about?!
Let's stand a-top of observatory hill and regard the spectacle of the phallic financial skyline. Let's ask ourselves what if beacons of progress were inspired by yonis instead of big pricks in pinstripes? Let's take out our crayons and re-imagine a feminist skyline. Let's peel back the glass and steel and regard our urban landscape not for its concrete carbuncles but for every light-seeking leaf that stretches out to catch the rays escaping through the cracks. Let's find the cracks in the human exceptionalist story, let's paint our cracks, let's paint the banker's cracks, let's paint light coming through the cracks.
Jump in our spangly time machine and let's go explore the galaxies of possibility beyond this tired old neo-liberal-ego-soaked-hyper-individualist story that's tearing life on earth to shreds - enough already!
There's so much more out there, a wintery wibbly multi-dimensional wonderland. Let's go discover it together!
In the words of the glorious Rebecca Solnit:
"Let us gather up our resources, the metaphysical ones that are heart and soul and care - as well as the practical ones". Let us come together and listen to and care for our more-than-human kin in their wintery slumber, let us "remember that taking care of something else is an important part of taking care of ourselves, because we are interwoven with the ten trillion things in this single garment of destiny that has been stained and torn, but is still being woven and mended and washed"
And above all let us ask what lessons we can learn from the trees as we move through this wintery season?
-----------------------------------------
Expect; breath work, crayons, intergalactic portals and gentle, nurturing movement, connecting you to the natural splendours of Greenwich Park and its history through creative engagement.
Throughout the walk- you will engage with a variety of paced, creative prompts through drawing, writing and journalling on a variety of ecological and philosophical questions. NO artistic practise necessary, just an experimental and open hat!
We provide : artistic materials, notebooks, tea and snacks.
---------------------------------------
Come along to explore and open, move, ponder, reinvigorate and reflect as a group - above all else, this is a lovely way to meet new people, be outside moving and to learn about ecology and the seasons through creative engagement.

Big love!
In these times where world forces feel determined to make us feel powerless and trample everything that we are, we are not going to let them.
"The fact that we cannot save everything, does not mean we cannot save anything and everything we can save is worth saving." Rebecca Solnit.
OH AND! We like to commune at a local pub at the end of the events for a continued social for those who would like to join!
For this one we'll be going to the Plume Of Feathers.
