Each January, Scots across the world join together for a Burns Supper to celebrate the life and work of one of their most famous poets and authors, Robert Burns.
Join Scot music maker Venn Smyth and co-host Jamsheed Master for a modern and queer take on the celebration at The Divine in East London. Bringing a much needed escape to the January blues, bring yer pals for a right knees up and joyful afternoon!
You can expect:
- Live music
- Top notch banter
- Friendly competition with a quiz and games such as kilt making, true Scot or not and toss my caber
- Reenactment of famous moments in Scottish history: ‘Freeeeeeedom’ ‘Disguuuusteeeeeng’ ‘HEBS smoking advert’
- Addressing the haggis
- Un-traditional toasts
- Ceilidh dancing
