La Monocle Presents: A Night in Montmartre
Step into the world of La Monocle, where the spirit of Parisian queer culture from the 1920s comes alive. Join us for an unforgettable evening inspired by the artists, poets, and trailblazers who redefined gender, sexuality, and creativity in Montmartre’s vibrant underground scene.
This event is part of our journey to bring La Monocle to life as a permanent FLINTA* bar in South London. By hosting regular pop-up events at other fantastic local venues, we’re building a community and gathering support to open our own space dedicated to celebrating the arts, inclusivity, and queer history. Join us and be part of this exciting adventure!
Dress to impress in your best suits, black tie, or 1920s-inspired attire—think sharp tailoring, elegance, and timeless glamour. Let’s honor the legacy of those who challenged conventions and celebrated individuality. Our dress code is completely optional, but those dressed as per the dress code are in with a chance to win prizes for best dressed!

For those bringing their A-game to the dress code, we’ll be awarding a selection of prizes to the best-dressed guests of the night.
*FLINTA is an acronym representing women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender individuals, emphasizing inclusivity and intersectionality within marginalized gender identities. At La Monocle, FLINTA is at the heart of our mission to create safe, celebratory spaces for these communities to connect and thrive. In South London, where diversity and grassroots activism shape the cultural fabric, embracing FLINTA embodies a commitment to equality, representation, and community-building in the face of systemic challenges. Allies are absolutely welcome, but FLINTA patrons are always prioritized. <3
Come for the history, stay for the community. Let’s raise a glass to the past and celebrate a future built on creativity and inclusivity.
Please note that tickets are not required upon entry - the venue is not privately hired, and tickets are solely to keep an eye on demand and numbers.
